Transmutation isn't just our name, it's the philosophy that underlies all of our repairs. Disassembly and reuse allows us to minimize our (and your) waste and maintain cameras far beyond their expected life span. Just because a piece of gear has reached the end of it's road, doesn't mean it will never help someone make images again. 
If you've got equipment that's broken, retired, or just gathering dust, bring it by. Instead of ending up in a landfill, it can become the key to keeping someone's heirloom running for the next generation.

  • Contact us through the Submit Inquiry page and we will schedule a time to meet with you

  • We can take most photography equipment including, but not limited to: cameras, lenses, flashes, tripods, and filters. However each donation is evaluated on an individual basis.

  • We accept equipment in all kinds of cosmetic and working conditions! However for technical and safety reasons, we cannot take items that have been exposed to the following:

    • Excessive Sand

    • Salt Water

    • Smoke / Fire

    • Chemicals / Pesticides

    • Biological Material

  • We are not purchasing photography equipment at this time

  • Yes, all donations come with a signed manifest
